Media Sharing When An Xbox 360 Is Connected To PC?

This question is for those who have the wireless adapter on the back of their Xbox 360 and have it connected to a PC via Media Sharing.

My understanding is you simply stream. Unless you have some how pushed them over, normally it will not keep them on ur HDD
