Can You Use DVD-R to Burn Xbox 360 Games?
I flashed my hitachi 59 drive for my xbox 360. I haven’t bought any dvd’s yet, because I have RW’s, but I don’t have any of the dual layered discs. Do you absolutely need a Dual Layered disc, or will a DVD-R work?
Also if you need the Dual Layered, do you need a special DL burner. Or will most DVD burners work for DL discs.
Other answer is 100% wrong. It MUST be DVD-DL. Why? Regular DVD-R’s don’t have enough space for a 360 game. Also, the 360 always expects there to be 2 layers, and always expects the layerbreak between them to be the same.
Any burner capable of doing DVD-DLs can do it. Almost all of them can…I just replaced mine with one made in 2003 and it could burn DL.
