free ps3 repair
PS3 Warranty question?
I bought my PS3 in March, I lost my receipt, but I read somewhere here that you don’t need the receipt, you just need the serial code thingy in the back of your PS3 then Sony will repair it for free? or do I still need to pay 150 bucks? Or should I trade it in EB Games ( I bought it from there) because the only problem is that the disc wont read, or it freezes while playing games.
They will require proof of purchase because the serial number on the back doesn’t indicate when your console was purchased. The best thing you can do is call up EB Games and see if they can get you another copy of your receipt, since they won’t accept a system with the problems you are describing on trade-in, because then some sucker will come back to the store mad with a system that has problems. Failing EB not being able to get you a receipt, give Sony a call and see if you can work something out, if not, it will cost $150.
