I can not install my Xbox 360 controller on my pc?

Hi all, I am trying to install my Xbox 360 on my PC, the PC recognized the responsibility treatment, but said it could not install, so I went to Microsofts website and download two drivers for the controller. The PC tells me that the drivers installed uncussefully. I have a Windows Vista 32 bits. So it is, can anyone help me? Do I need a disk or something else? Thanks!
