What you should know
Before you follow one of those online guides to copying PS3 games that tell you to open up your PS3 platform to tinker with this and mess with that to either copy games or play copied games, ask yourself one question – do you have any idea at all what you are doing?
If you answer no to that question, ask a second one – do you have complete faith that the person that wrote that guide has any more of an idea than you do? If you can’t say for sure, put the screw driver down and back away from the platform because there is a good chance that the result of continuing with this path will result in tears – or at the very least, a brokenPS3.
It just isn’t worth it.
You can copy PS3 games safely and it doesn’t involve getting far more acquainted with the inner workings of the platform than any gamer ever should be. What you will need is a decent computer with a CPU of adequate speed, a fast DVD writer, PS3 copy software and a few blank DVDs. The software is key. Without it, your venture will be unsuccessful. Luckily, there is a wealth of user-friendly software on the market that serves this purpose and does in fact make copying PS3 games easy.
PS3 Copying Softwares
Most PS3 copy software is easy to use and fast – a few clicks, a few minutes and you have a completely functioning copy of your game. Now, let’s be clear, we don’t want to copy our games to sell them. The only reason one would want to copy PS3 games would be to create backup copies of the PS3 games they already purchased – any other purpose would be illegal and not protected under the “Fair Use Act” and no one wants to break the law. Right?
