ps3 60gb features
Need help for new PS3?
Friends, i got new ps3 60gb and i dont know anything about it, as per the manual i upgraded its firmware to 2.10. and the screen looks awsome with new features like Themes and all. the basic knowledge i need is
1. How to copy movie dvd or any game to the hdd?
2. In system properties it shows me 47/55 gb hdd, which means 8 gb is occupied by something, what is that?
3. if its a recovery software, then if i format the hdd will it also be erased?
4. there is a option called Install other OS. what OS i can install on it? and how?

1). You can’t run games without the disc. In order to import movies from dvd – convert them to mp4 format and transfer them to PS3 via flash stick or external HDD. You can stream medai from PC to PS3 via Media Server function as well.
2). 8GB are occupied by OS.
3). When you select recovery option from PS3 menu, it formats HDD, but keeps OS.
4). You can install variety of OS on PS3, however Yellow Dog Linux was depeloped for PS3. It’s free, but you must have HDTV (or you won’t see text) and USB keyboard for that.
