PS2 Games On PS3 (picture quality)?

Im using my PS3 with a HDTV using a HDMI cable, PS3 games look brilliant but when i play a PS2 game the picture is poor and the edges are all jagged, I heard about an issue like this but i thought they fixed it with some firmware.

You have to goto settings and enable dvd upscaler, If you have updated the ps3 the option will be there..Once you enable it it will upscale your ps2 games to hd resolution..
