all that would be eliminated if I can restore the system files on my ps3?
Please only respond if you have a PS3. This option on the menu Secret recovery. If you do, and delete all my saved games / music / video, then restore what PS3 do? because obviously they would not two options to do the same there.
Im pretty sure I said all the files on your PS3 will be deleted when you click Restore PS3.
