2. PS3: Will PS3 overtake the Xbox 360 in potiential wise and will the PS3 make better quality games in the near future?
1.
PS3- the main console
Clock speed- speed that games can be processed at
Graphics- unit for showing the great graphics the unit is capable of
System memory- amount of memory available for data required to play a game
Video memory- amount of memory available for video data
Communications:
Wi-Fi- you can connect to the internet and (given your system version is 3.0 and later) remote play using your PSP. You need a wireless router in order to do this.
Bluetooth- headsets and other wireless devices are available and can be connected to the unit wirelessly (e.g.; a Motorola KRZR phone with the Bluetooth feature on can play music through the wireless JABRA headphones)
Storage- either 30GB- 60GB, this is the hard drive that is used for data such as save games. (Music as well? I haven’t used a PS3 before.)
Cache- Memory that keeps disc data while loading. Used in combination with the system memory.
Processor- the cell processor, whatever the hell it is, is some sort of processor that makes the PS3 the powerful console it is
Clock speed- speed that the cell processor can work at
Bandwidth- I dunno
Surround sound- you can connect the PS3 to a home theater system with a 5- speaker+ subwoofer setup. Once connected, you can have certain noises panning from speaker to speaker (e.g.; Treasure Planet for PS2, when set in Dolby Pro Logic and all speakers set up around me, the sound test is Morph flying in a circle around you, and the multichannel output makes the sound pan in a clockwise rotation so it sounds like Morph is moving around you. Provides more realism for games and movies. Puts you in the person’s body, to make it seem like you hear what they hear, in the position the sound comes from. In other words, say there’s a man to the back left of you, his voice will come out from the left surround speaker.)
2. From what I hear, I believe the PS3 will overtake the Xbox 360. Sony had more time to improve the PS3. Looks to me that Microsoft just wanted to get that damn Xbox on the shelf. Guess what, the first consoles out didn’t even have any frickin’ fans in them! How the hell does Microsoft expect to have customers once their discs start MELTING inside the console? They put fans in the newer ones. So what? The PS3 is greater. Just like the PSP beats out the Nintendo DS, not that it’s Microsoft.
Sony- great company, good games, SLIMLINE PS2′s
Microsoft- OK company, OK games, BIG- ASS Xboxes
Sony= my loyalty and respect
Microsoft= whack jobs that are only good for their computers and software. However, Halo is a good franchise.
Let’s see here, 23 minutes to complete. Here ya go. Enjoy.
