Can I get the audio from my Xbox 360 to play through a sound system and get the video through an HDMI outupt?

I will have a 360 that has an HDMI output and I will connect it to my LCD monitor. Can I connect the audio from the game to my sound system and get the video from HDMI?

Only if your TV has an audio out. If your TV has an HDMI it probably has an audio out so just check your manual. Wait, actually if you have an elite it should have come with an adapter that plugs into the normal video output but is used solely for sound. So what you would do is plug that in then get some double ended audio cables (the red and white ones) and plug directly into you sound system. That adapter also has a digital sound output. I have an elite and it came with that stuff but I don’t know about the new Premium or Pro’s that have an HDMI out.
