help finding a router for xbox live?

so i have a wireless adapter and xbox live gold card for 1 yr and dont have a wireless modem.

First check out the link below.. it has the list of compatible routers..

The Netgear router you picked is on the list.. the Linksys one is not but it may be just because it is a new version.. it is ‘WRT54G2′ and ‘WRT54G’ is on the list so it would most probably work..

Most routers will work unless they are on the incompatible list (available at the same link).. I use all Linksys equipment and am happy with it.. I know others who have had good luck with Netgear and D-Link..

That Linksys WRT54G2 is on sale at buy.com for $43.99 with free shipping (second link).. I found a review on amazon.com which says it works with the Xbox 360 (third link)..
