My Xbox 360 controller keeps on saying, please reconnect controller….?

My batteries are fresh, and it keeps on turning off. When I look at the screen it says, please reconnect controller. It is a microsoft branded 360 wireless controller that originally came with my elite, which I had purchased 10 days ago. My headset that came with my 360 also has problems. I either hear friends and cant talk, or i can just hear them on my tv, but cant hear them on my headset, and cant speak through the mic.

the controllers are kind of crappy. My controller did the same thing with the headset but it eventually fixed itself. The please reconnect thing happens to me when ever i even touch where the battery holder so if you move alot of put one finger under the controller you should try the wired controller
