Xbox 360 Elite internet connectivitiy? Can you use any ethernet cable or any wireless connecter?

My Xbox 360 Elite is in a place not near any ethernet port or computer. that is with the ethernet cable that comes in the package. i know i have an extra long one somewhere but before i dig through my garage, i want to know whether it will work of not. also i have USB wireless internet receivers but they do not work in the Xbox USB ports. is there any hack for that?

You can use any ethernet cable that is not a crossover cable.

As for the USB WLAN Network adapters: Every USB device needs a software part called a driver that tells the System what to do with the signals coming from the USB port.

Since you can’t install new software on the Xbox, you will need to get the original USB Network Adapter from Microsoft, as it has the driver for it already installed on the Xbox.

Any other device will not work.
