xbox 360 elite troubleshooting
xbox 360 live..cant get an ip address . help?
i recently bought an xbox 360 elite. i have hooked the ethernet cable up to the back of the 360 and than the other end to wut i *think* is the ethernet jack on my toshiba laptop. i tried to join xbox live and it said “cannot connect to xbox live. select test connection to troubleshoot your connection” i did test connection and it says…..ip adress….failedAny suggestions why its doing this?
Hook up your Xbox to the ethernet port on your laptop or PC. Go to ‘Network Connections’ on the computer (XP or Vista, it’s the same) Highlight both your Wireless connection and Local area connection. Right click, and select bridge connections. Let windows do its thing for a minute and new connection called ‘network bridge’ will appear. Reboot your 360 and you’re done. The bridge is in place until you manually delete it so you only have to set it up once
