how to change xbox 360 settings so i can down load games?

I have xbox live, and all I want to do is down load free demos and such. My xbox won’t allow me to down load any games because “this account is not authorized to down load content with this rating”. I have the family settings set to allow all game ratings, and yet it still doesn’t work. what do i need to change?!

If you have parental settings on your account, and a game demo, or video is rated RP (Rating Pending) you can not download it. I have the same problem on Xbox. Even though I am able to download any rated game once it is actually rated, I am not able to download a game with an undetermined rating. The only way to fix this, is to have the age of the gamertag be 18, so whatever year you said you were born in, and then go into the settings and update to an adult account.
