Xbox 360 firmware mod or mod chip?

Hi I’ve been wanting to mod my 360 for a while now and wandering which way to go with the firmware mod or the mod chip. I have bad luck with flashing so I’v had been pointing my attention to mod chips. I have better luck with mod chips because I’m not a stranger to it. I modded my Wii successfully with a chip soldered on the board. Currently I have the BenQ drive in my Xbox 360 from the pictures on the internet. So what should I do?
