Xbox 360 HDMI question?

I was wondering if anyone could give me a little guidance.

I currently own an Xbox 360 (bought back near the end of 2006), for a while i’ve been using it on an HDTV, although i’ve been using the standard VGA lead as this older version of the 360 doesn’t have an HDMI slot, I was just wondering would it be worth buying an Elite Xbox 360 which does have an HDMI input. Or would there not be much different in picture clarity between the setup i currently have (HDTV, but Xbox360 connected through VGA cable). Many thanks. Paul

You won’t get much better picture quality.

I have HDMI, component and VGA cables (all official Microsoft cables) and I cannot see any noticable different when playing in hugh definition.
